Sometimes being grounded is a good thing.

It's been a good long while since I posted. Lots of things have occurred within this time. They can all basically be summed up in a phrase, "good times, good times."

About a month or so a go my mother grounded me and my brother from sitting next to each other in church and at the church activities we go to. She did it because we had a tendency to hide in each others shadows and coast along relatively unnoticed. So as good children we've been trying to go along with this stipulation. Sometimes it was just a pain to make a concentrated effort to sit by someone else. In the end though it was such a blessing for me that she did that.

Because I was trying to get to know more people and interact with others I've been able to get to know and to become better friends with people. Two people in particular. They are such great examples in my life and I love spending time with them. Not to mention they are hilarious and I am pretty sure my abs are getting the best work out ever from laughing so hard.

I've also been able to reinforce my conclusion that people are the greatest invention. Life is all about those we come to know and those we interact with. They fuel my desire to be a good person, to try and be kind to all and to help others. People help to give meaning to life and make it worth living. I am one lucky, thankful girl to have the friends and family that I do.
